New Math IRP Math Curriculum September 2008 is the implementation year for our new math curriculum. The new curriculum has reduced numbers of learning outcomes and much emphasis on communicating about processes and connecting math to the real world. Reasoning (logical thinking) and using visualization to create images of representations and comparisons are also important features of the new curriculum. How can you help? Question your child about the world around them. Have them use estimating skills when grocery shopping. Try to have them talk to you about their understanding. Ministry Of Education
