Opening our Doors

Richmond School District is happy to be able to offer families an Early Learning Centre ELC) at General Currie Elementary.  We offer three types of Early Childhood Education programs at our Currie ELC, staffed by qualified Early Childhood Educators:       

  1. Richmond ELC:  A Richmond School District program for pre-school aged children with their parents/caregivers.
  2. Together Time: A partnership program offered by Richmond Cares Richmond Gives (RCRG), and the Richmond School District (SD38) for pre-school aged children with their parents/caregivers.
  3. CAP-C: A partnership program offered by Touchstone Families and SD38 for 0-6 year old children with their parents/caregivers who are Chinese speaking.

Pre-Booking of  ALL  Apppointments Required No Drop-ins

All of the programs offered at Currie will need families to book an appointment for either Face to Face (in Centre) or for Online Zoom.   Only four families can book one face to face session per week to allow for physical distancing, cleaning, and to allow all families a chance to attend.

Touchstone Families offer other programs,  including an  Outdoor  Walk on Monday mornings from 10-11:30 and an Online Circle Time on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 1:30 -2:15.
