Every February, the Richmond School District celebrates Black History Month, and the many achievements of Black Canadians who, throughout history, have contributed greatly to making Canada the culturally diverse, compassionate, and prosperous nation it is today.
 
Black History Month includes conversations about the significant contributions of Black Canadians, the impacts of racism, and our commitment to making the district a safe and respectful place for all members of our community.
